My father, Robert Heiman, created Epicuren Discovery®, one of the world’s most sought-after anti-aging skin care lines, in 1974. With more than 40 years experience as a developmental scientist, his exclusive formulations over the past thirty years have evolved into specialized skin care treatments that are internationally acclaimed for their clinical effectiveness. This rich heritage of skin care science became my birthright. The 15 years I’ve spent with my father at Epicuren started in the lab and included destinations around the world as I gave and received knowledge about skin care. In the course of my career I have developed a clinical knowledge of natural ingredients, aromatherapy, and the various approaches that best benefit and support the health of our skin, our bodies and our planet.
I was lucky to grow up with an understanding about how our skin is integral to overall health and immunity. Raising my own little boys, I realized young skin is more vulnerable than most of us think and it has surprisingly distinct needs. From this heightened awareness, and my desire to positively influence the health of our children, Episencial was born. We create actively healthy skin care™ formulas with natural organic baby skin care ingredients that are specifically designed for the unique features of childrens’ skin during each developmental stage. Our physical and emotional wellbeing can be affected adversely by many things – the damaged global environment, harmful toxins, and the sometimes careless way we treat our bodies.
